Sam Woodley of Merit Moving Systems Named United Van Operator of The Year

ST. LOUIS (March 8, 2021) – Sam Woodley, Merit Moving Systems out of Los Angeles was awarded United Van Lines’ Household Goods Van Operator of the Year Award for the west region. The award recognizes Woodley’s outstanding performance in the areas of customer service and safety. United Van Lines President and CEO Marc Rogers presented the award at the Company’s recent virtual Learning Conference held in early March. 

Woodley is widely known at his agency as hard-working, professional, dedicated, deserving and humble. He frequently receives positive feedback from customers and makes each one feel special with a customer-first approach. “Sam is truly one in a million and so deserving,” Laurie Griffiths, CEO Merit Moving Systems and VIP Transport said. “What sets him apart is his humility and graciousness. He always does an amazing job and quietly goes on to the next one and does it again and again.”

There are more than 4,000 drivers in the United Van Lines system, and Woodley was one of three winners this year. The van operator of the year began in the late 1970s to recognize the men and women who sacrifice so much for a life on the road and who help other families through one of the most stressful times in their lives.
